Smoke Control Association - Raising the Bar

Over the last 6 months the Smoke Control Association have been working on raising the bar/getting their house in order within the Smoke Control Association.

The primary aim is to ensure that all members achieve a minimum standard if they wish to be a member of the SCA going forward.

This requires a Director of each company signing a declaration of compliance.

The minimum requirements includes ensuring that Smoke Ventilation products meet current harmonised standards and legislation.

The first stage is the introduction of a Membership criteria document which all existing members and new members will need to sign.

We are also going to introduce  a Competency Scheme to be administered by IFC.

The new membership criteria document can now be found on the SCA website click here.
