IIR International Rankine 2020 Conference

Don’t miss this unique opportunity to present at the IIR International Rankine 2020 Conference in Glasgow – Advances in Cooling, Heating and Power Generation.

Celebrate the life and legacy of William Rankine on the bi-centenary of his birth at the University where he was based. The conference brings together the disciplines of Organic Rankine Cycle (ORC) and Refrigeration, Air-Conditioning and Heat Pumps (RACHP). 

Authors - please submit your abstract by 20^th September. 

Programme themes:

• Cooling and Heating refrigeration systems with the reverse Rankine cycle, including compressors, heat transfer and exchanger, system/cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
• Power generation using organic fluids, comparing organic Rankine cycle to other power generation applications, expanders, heat transfer and exchangers, system/ cycle design and optimisation, novel applications and system simulation.
• Working Fluids new fluids, fluid blends, environmental impact, performance analysis and comparisons, (both natural working fluids and fluorine-based refrigerants). 

Student researchers –a  prize fund of £1,800 will be awarded to the best student papers presented. Discounted registration fee for students.

The event is expected to attract 300 delegates and 120 technical papers.
