FETA to support STBA
FETA is to become a supporting organisation to The Sustainable Traditional Buildings Alliance. The STBA is a collaboration of not-for-profit organisations that acts as a forum for sustaining and improving traditional buildings, and aims to promote and deliver a more sustainable traditional built environment in the UK through high-quality research, education, training and policy.
Founded in 2011, the Alliance draws its support from 3 main sectors – Heritage, Industry and Sustainability. Their remit is not just historic and listed buildings, but more broadly any traditionally constructed building – generally pre 1919.
Their patrons are the National Trust and Historic England.
Each year, the STBA hosts a Conference on Traditional Buildings, working jointly with the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings (SPAB). The leading experts in the UK gather together to share up-to-date research on this topic with industry insiders.
A wide range of publications and tools are available from the STBA website
