BRE launches SBEM industry forum
Former FETA chairman Graham Wright has volunteered to spearhead FETA’s involvement in a new SBEM industry forum launched by BRE.
SBEM stands for Simplified Building Energy Model and is a software tool developed by BRE that provides an analysis of a building's energy consumption. The tool calculates monthly energy usage and CO2 emission rates by taking into account building geometry, construction, current use and HVAC and lighting equipment.
FETA strongly supports the introduction of the forum in helping to determine the future of the SBEM software model.
