ADCAS looks to lead the way on fire-rated ductwork
ADCAS continues to offer support and guidance to ‘Working Group 2 – competencies of installers’, one of a number of working groups set up in the wake of the Grenfell Tower tragedy and subsequent review of the Building Regulations and fire safety by Dame Judith Hackitt.
Led by Build UK, Working Group 2 is developing a competency framework for those installing fire and safety and other critical systems. ADCAS member Alan Kinnear has offered to represent the association and is now actively involved in helping to identify and promote best practice relating to the installation of fire rated ductwork.
